Day 32 of the 40 day Prayer Challenge

Welcome to the End of a Great Day.

John and I spent the morning at the VA in San Antonio.  That is a very humbling place to visit.  We took the shuttle in and the traffic was terrible in spots.  We had a 8:30 am appointment.  That is the only time they do new patient appointments.  The driver was very patient and did a super job.  I saw way to many men in wheel chairs without legs.  Our men and women have given much to give us freedom in America.  The appointment went well and we accomplished several other little things also.  Now on Monday, I will tend to the paper work and make the next appointment.  The doctor was a woman and she was so sweet and kind.  I believe women doctors have that motherly touch and take time to listen to the patient.  I was impressed.  Audie Murphy VA Hospital is huge.  If your interested in history a study on Audie Murphy is very interesting.  He was a famous war hero.
John's blood pressure was high, but the nurse showed us how to lower it.  She shut the lights off and and asked him to shut his eyes and breath.  It lowered it by 10 points.

John is very frustrated with his health.  He is tired of medicine and health related issues.  Pray for him to find peace.  This morning, I shared with Joey that I do a lot for his dad and he gave me an amazing compliment.  He told me, " Mother, you do a lot for a lot of people."  I was blessed by that.  In the last few years, I have tried hard to be kinder and more thoughtful. I took a vow to love John in sickness and health and he needs me more now.   Tomorrow, he sees the skin doctor and that might help.  I am praying he gets the results of the biopsy. The itching returned yesterday, but an extra pill helped.

I am happy to be home and in my pajamas.  I hope to be in bed early.

The lesson title was :  Get a Testimony.
The takeaway was:  Most of us are educated way beyond the level of our obedience.
The scripture is John 4: 28-30, 39-42
Remember to put your name in palace of the word, you.  It is eye opening.

28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” 30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers.
42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”
Over the years, my testimony has changed.  I should write a new one.  A testimony is a test and we are asked to share it with others.  It builds faith in other people.  The author says, " a testimony is loaning our faith, to others."  The Samaritan woman worked her testimony out with Jesus as her coach.  My life has been a journey of heart break, great joy, accomplishments, and surprises along the way.  Maybe after the Prayer Challenge, I will work on my testimony.  When I started to write my book, I asked for Jesus to help me.  He spoke clearly that He would be the author and I would be the co-author.  I never forgot those words.
The promise for today is:  My divine power will give you all you need to live a good life.
                                                                                2 Peter 1:3
I am sorry my fonts are a mess tonight.  I guess I need to start doing  this on "Word" and copy it for the blog.  I also noticed my proof reading is not so good.  Please forgive me.
It is time to go.  Please, come again.  I pray all is well with you and yours.
Love is in the ink! Love is in my heart!
Love, Mary Kay
