Perfect peace is here. My heart extends the sign of perfect peace to you and yours.
Although, I continue to be excited about this study, I know it will soon end. I pray I will continue the journey and grow in my love for the Lord.
Today the title is: Game with Minute
The key takeaway is: Change of pace + change of place = perspective.
The reading is:
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
I am not usually a game player, but I think I might like this one. It was created by seventeenth-century monk named Frank Laubach. He turned his life into minute prayers. One example was given; that I am anxious to try. He would shoot silent prayers to people while looking at them. Passing stranger with a silent prayer kept him praying non stop. I will try this the next time I am out and about. Just the thought of someone, could be a prayer. I would be pronouncing blessings over those I haven't even meet and those I love. I need to turn worry into a prayer. Baking can be a prayer model. I remember baking cookies for a prison ministry once. We prayed for the stirring of the Holy Spirit, the blending of sweetness and etc. I never forget those cookies and the men and women who would receive them. I am going to look that recipe up. Laundry! That Joey, John and I would be clothed in righteousness. Kneeling each morning beside my bed is an act of having God as your first thought each morning and kneeling at night is the sign of God being my last thought of the day. Most people don't feel intimacy with God. Prayer creates that intimacy. God is only a prayer away. If you want God to do something new in your life, you have to change your prayer pattern. Do something different. I look forward to having this become a holy habit. I will continue to look for that baking prayer and share at a later time.
I pray that sharing parts of this study has encouraged you to step up your prayer life. I am so excited to see what God is up too. My prayers are stronger, full of more faith and a huge step in loving God and others. For years, I have felt no self worth, but because of many studies and especially this one, I sense His presence all the time.
The promise for today is:
May God, bless you and keep you close.
Thank you for stopping by. This was a good lesson! I love it.
Love is in the ink!
Love is in my heart!
Love, Mary Kay
