Day 25 of 40

Good Evening!

That recliner did it.  I sat down in it and fell asleep.  I know better, but I did it.  I spent most of the late morning at the grocery store.  I took my time and had a long list.  John stayed home and that always saves money.  :)  I love the new little HEB in the little town of  Wimberley.  This week is Spring break so the shelves were being stocked from the  added number of customers and tourist in town.

Joey came after work with 19 frozen pizzas.  I had shut the chest freezer off several months ago, but it was time to turn it back on.  His and our freezers ( refrigerators) were full.  With summer coming it was time to plug it in.  I like to keep extra ice!  John loves pizza and I love the convenience of it when I don't feel like cooking.  That is often lately.

The lesson today was titled:  A Prophetic Voice.
The takeaway was:  Prayer is the way we recognize potential in others.

The focus was 1 Corinthians 14: 3-4

But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging
and comfort. Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.

I have been given this gift and I love using it.  I first noticed, the gift when my husband and I were houseparents at a Children's Home.  When the little boys were all dressed and looking like little angels, I would speak into their lives.  I spoke to many preachers, teachers, and great leaders before they turned 12.  I am pleased to share that some of them have become great men of God today.  Maybe it was the prophetic voice, God used through me.  I love speaking God's promises into my son's life.  We have a strong relationship and it hasn't always been that way.  I am very thankful that God has used me.  After reading this lesson, I decided my husband needs some prophetic words spoken over him.  The last few months, I have had little patience with his complaining.  I need to be a little kinder and gentle with my words.  I need to pray circles around him and ask God to give me back the sweet conversations we had 53 years ago.  I do love, John and we share a lot of wonderful memories.

The promise for today is:  I will never abandon you.  Hebrews 13: 5

It has been a great day.  Remember to speak goodness into people.
Love is in the ink!
Love is in my heart.
Love, Mary Kay
