Day 2 of Circle Maker Challenge. Amazing to see the power of God through His word and a couple simple instructions. As I knelt next to my bed (alter) the presence of God is very present. I know great things are about to happen.
God plans divine assignments and it is up to us to keep the appointments. Just like we can't perform miracles, but we can pray for them. God is the creator and artist. On page 24 of the Draw the Circle by Mark Batterson, he writes the following:
God is the Composer. Your life is His musical score.
God is the Artist. Your life is His canvas.
God is the Architect. Your life is His blueprint.
God is the Writer. You are His book.
I have a love for music, art, organizing and writing. I am connected to Him in a powerful way. I love Proverbs 16:9 and the reassurance it speaks to my soul. A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. I want to walk in step with God's directions.
God wants all our "small things" and our "big things." He wants to direct all my prayers and yours too. What could we do today to trust Him in the small things?
I joined the discussion group on Facebook and many prayer requests were posted today. One lady bought a white circle rug as she couldn't draw on the floor. Lots of questions! I am confident that God wants to hear my voice and see my heart. I desire to be faithful to a new prayer life.
Paper circles have been cut out with the names of my family on them. Some even have scripture on the back that seem to fit with that person. They are my reminders for who to pray for. I need to cut out more and be prepared for additional names and requests.
Last night, God showed me something I need to work on. I saw a yard stick and rulers. He showed me, how I measure love differently on each person, I know and love. Some people didn't measure up to my measurements. God doesn't measure my love and I wonder why I thought I had too. God loves me without measurements and it is always lavishly. I humbly asked for forgiveness, but the
visual has stayed with me all day. I have asked to love like Jesus does forever. I am starting to clean away the trash so I can see the real picture. God is so good to me.
Today's promise is: I am your Shepherd and I will meet all your needs. Psalm 23:1
It has been a great day! I look forward to tomorrow.
Love is in the ink!
Love, Mary Kay
