Shalom,
A new day! Sorry, I missed a few days. New vehicle, insurance, a doctor's appointment, grocery shopping and all the stuff in between. I have missed you. When I read Mark's Batterson's book the Circle Maker and was taken in immediately. I couldn't wait to sign up for the challenge. He suggests you do the study with a group or a friend. I have decided to share with you all.
Day 1 of 40
Mark Batterson lives in Washington D.C. and pastors a church there. Please do a search on him and read his exciting life in Christ. God has lead him into some amazing opportunities.
Mark encourages his readers to draw a circle around your kneeling body as you pray. I have a furry pink pillow to knell at besides my bed. I have a vision of the circle or a hula hope. I shut the bedroom door and use the side of bed as an alter. I have cut out circles with names, and scripture to remind me who to pray for. I am excited to see what God does. I want to pray His way and sense His presences each morning
Read Joshua 1: 1-11. I read it several times and the last few verses jumped into my soul. Around verse 9 it was written to not be afraid or discouraged. The LORD will be with me wherever I go. I will cross my own Jordan and be rewarded by my God.
I will pray, meditate, and write in my journal. I already love the study and the sharing with you. The goal is for God to teach me how to pray. I am only doing a short summary tonight, but I will continue to add as I go along.
Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we my receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4: 16
Where is your favorite place to pray? When two pray together, you will find answers.
Send me your requests and lets pray for God's will and glory.
I am circling my children and grandchildren. We are broken and need God to mend the brokenness.
More tomorrow! This is going to be so good.
The Promise for Today is: If you wait for Me, I will work on your behalf. Isaiah 64:4
May the Lord bless this blog and those that come together to search the word and seek You, Father.
Today is Valentine's Day. A day to love each other and ourselves. I desire to love like Jesus loves.
Love is in the ink.
Love, Mary Kay
