Joy comes in the morning. I missed a few days because John has been sick. He decided to take the flu. I have been trying to keep him comfortable and checking on him often. Sickness is not welcome in our home, but somehow entered when we were not looking. The entire month of January has been cold, coughing and exhaustion. That is what the enemy wants. This morning, I took back my authority over evil and sent them packing. John is resting and the coughing has stopped. Last time, I sent those pigs out of our house we literally had wild hogs in the back yard. This time, I have asked for death to each hog. I love working under the word of God.
Although, things have seemed bleak, God has been speaking to me. A few years ago, I use to pray to love like Jesus loves. I loved asking for that. Somehow, I have not been praying that lately, but it is time to bring it back and never put it away again. I want to love like Jesus. Last night, online the Saturday service for Genesis Ministries was on. I was blessed and surprise to see them streaming live. Pastor Dan is an outstanding speaker and in love with the people God has given him to shepherd. He quoted 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3. I have read that a hundred times, but this time it settled into the center of my heart. He also shared that he thought the filling of the Holy Spirit was all about love. It is not all about speaking in tongue, prophecy, faith, giving to the poor, but love. Without love we are nothing but a gong or clanging cymbal. I do want to love like Jesus loves. My prayer is to find that Jesus love and never let it go.
Several times, the last few days, I have ran into some uncomfortable relationships. Love will cover all of that. I just need to love them more.
I promised you some photos of my little junk journals. Here they are! The top one is a page pocket made out of an old dictionary with a punched card. The middle photo is a little box of mini journals that are ready to give away. I also tied ribbon and some bling on paper clips. The last one is two little tuck spot tags. I hope you enjoy a little peak. When I get a couple more done (a little larger) I will share with more photos. I love to cut, past and snip. :)
This is the day the Lord made. I am sad that I am not in church today, but John needs me. I will continue reading in Genesis and let God minister to me. Please pray for my husband. He has been very fragile since his heart attack over a year ago. I am praying he regains the loss strength and comes back strong and full of fire.
The promise for today is: " Blessed be the LORD who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke to Moses his servant." 1 King 8:56 ESV
Fill your day with love. God is love and he will lead the way. I am asking Him to love on you a little extra today.
Love is in the ink!
Love, Mary Kay
