What a day! The kitchen is bare, but ready for the painters tomorrow. I am excited to get this going. Taking things down, created a huge amount of dust and dog hair. I have swept several times and it needs it again. I will be so happy to have fresh clean looking walls. If they do a good job, they will come back and do the living room and hall way and then on to the bedrooms. I only want to do a little at a time.
Church was amazing today. The preacher is great and delivers great emotion and love. He talked on the last days and about being ready. This is the reading he used:
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
2 Timothy 3: 1-5
The last days are near. I have seen all of the above. These traits are all over Facebook, television and within families. I am ready to be called into the heavens to sit with my Father. Time does not stand still. What a wonderful day that will be. The worship music blended with this message. I am so blessed. John even went with me to church. I pray he filled his heart with the Holy Spirit.
Last night when I was closing up the computer, I found this amazing photo. I couldn't wait to share it with you. As the sheep grazed the shepherd prepared for safety. I wonder if he built this or if it was
was left by another shepherd. Where they placed all over the pasture land? I love how the shepherd is the gatekeeper. Always prepared for danger. The Great Shepherd today is our gatekeeper.
The word for today is: Protect and the verse paired with it is Psalm 91:11. God is so amazing to provide this photo with the word for today. Protect means to cover or shield from exposure, injury damage or destruction; Guard or defend. This was taken from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Psalm 91:11
I am always amazed how perfect his created plan is. It never gets old. He prepared me at the birth of my children to be a gatekeeper. That is why I never give up hope. And want to watch over them. The prayers of a mother avail much. He will not leave them behind because I have prayed over and over that my whole household to serve Him. What a glorious day to look forward too.
The promise for today is: I am the everlasting God. Psalm 90:2
Time to rest and sleep in the arms of Jesus. It is so reassuring to know He sends angels to sleep and watch in the doorway. I pray you find that rest tonight also.
Love is in the ink.
Love, Mary Kay
