September 30, 2017

Good Afternoon!

The rain has stopped and the sun is out. I just sat on the back porch and counted my many blessings.  I have dreams for next year to plant more and capture the beauty of more flowers and color.  The butterflies and birds love our back yard so many be it will even draw more.  I love our house and neighbors.  It is paradise now that I am older.   This year has been very hard with John having so many doctor's appointment and being so sick.  It is starting to look hopeful.  I don't think those around me know how sick he has been.  God is good.

Joey is working late tonight.  He always helps with inventory.  He is heading home and then early in the morning will go to Wimberley for their inventory.    He is finally going to have a day off on Monday.  After this week he should be back to a better schedule.  He works very hard and loves his job.  I have spent time today putting away more stuff and washing clothes.  I did have a sweet nap for about an hour.

This week the NFL has caught my attention on FB and after reading some of the posts I see lots of crime and hate within the teams. Some of the players have taken up with the entertainment people and hate our flag, country and president. I use to love the Green Bay Packers, but now I see some of them as thugs and felons.   It is not the America of 30 years ago.  I remember in school and being proud of the love for one another of color.   Morals and values have fallen away and filthy language and disrespect has taken over.  I am going to write about that next week.  I have some strong views on where it came from.  I stand firm with the Great Shepherd, my Lord and King!

The word for today is:  Hope and the verse that references the verse is Psalm 42:5.  Let's go to the rich pasture of wisdom to see the meaning and chew on the word. The word Hope according to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary means to cherish a desire with anticipation.  Trust!

Why are you downcast, O my soul?  Why so disturbed with me?  Put your hope in God for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.   Psalm 42: 5.

The promise for today is:  I have the ability to do all that I have promised.  Romans 4: 20-21

The shepherd, sheep and pasture is full of hope and promise.  What a wonderful life David had tending to the sheep in such amazing beauty.

I have a grand hope to run into the arms of Jesus the day He calls me home.  What a beautiful day that will be.  Free at last!  Free indeed!

It has been great spending time with you, but I need to say, good bye for now.  Love great and love hard.  Tomorrow is a new day.

Love is in the ink.
Love, Mary Kay
