Dear Mom!

October 8, 2017

Yesterday,  the speaker suggested to write a letter to the one you have grieved and were never able to personal say, Good bye to.  I couldn't wait to start my letter to my mother.  I was in Wisconsin (at my high school reunion) when my mother died.  It was August 1, 2000.  Texas was a long ways away that day.

Dear Mom,

Praying Jesus, will read this letter to you or let you read it.  It has been 17 years since you left for your new address in heaven.  I have grieved each day for you.  Yesterday, I was reminded that you are alive and I am the one acting like your dead. You are living and I am waiting to join you.  In the mean time we can still chat now and then.  Please come and visit me.  Touch me and whisper words of love. I never doubted your love for me.

Your having a wonderful time with those who joined you.  I can only imagine how full of joy you had to  see your mom, He (Jesus)  loved your gift of encouragement, baking for the sick, and your letter writing.  Do you write in heaven on that yellow legal size paper?  I like to write too.  I don't bake like I use to but I like to make your soup and bread sometimes.  You were always proud of your penmanship and as I get older, I am proud of mine.  The old Palmer method.

Things down here are pretty messed up without you.  You kept things together and your children have let them fall apart.  I have been to blame along with my other siblings.  We don't see each other.  Michael lives about 25 miles from me and he always says he is wants to see me but never does.  Marcia has become a wedge between Julie and I.  Julie hasn't seen us since last October.  John had a heart attack and she never calls to check on him.  Katelyn is married now.  She never wants anything to do with me.  My heart has been broken,  but I know God has a purpose.    Joey has started walking the Jesus walk but he struggles too.  Bernie is mad at me because I wouldn't take him to buy more wine.   I am so happy we can chat like this once and awhile.  Maybe you are looking over my shoulder as I touch each key.

I am writing a book about my life.  You play a huge part in my memories.  You were a great  mother and all of the love I ever had came from you as a child and beyond.    I loved doing dishes with you and visiting you at the Nursing Home.  I long for more days like that, but I will take advantage of a letter and note to you now.  It is so freeing to know, I can.

I love you, mom and can't wait to join you.  I don't think it will be long.  If you could visit me in a dream or encounter, I would be overjoyed.  Continue to praise and worship God.  When I get there we can praise Him together.   I pray our mansion rooms are close to each other.  I will send you little notes now and than. I look at photos of you often.  This is one of my favorites.  You were having tea.

Have a sweet time in heaven.  I will see you soon.  Visit when you can.  Touch hearts here and talk with your children.  What a blessed time this is.  Your always welcome to read this blog and anything else I write.  I miss you!  Thank you for all you have done for me.  Forgive me for the things I never done.

Love, Your Middle Button, Mary Kay

Dear readers!  This letter was long over due. It will not be the last one either.   The tears ran with the ink.  I have more letters to write to others that left without saying good bye to me.  People I loved and we didn't say good bye.  I will share more in days to come.  My pasture time is coming back, I promise.  Maybe this is pasture activity for me.  :)

The promise for today is:  I have blessed you in Christ with one outpouring of grace after another.
                                                                      John 1:16

The ink runs with love,
Love, Mary Kay
