Good Evening!
The day went by so fast and I actually thought about letting the blog slide today. John is watching television and since I don't watch it anymore, I decided to try the blog. I love life without television. I went back to FB and now I can see what a time waster that is. I will try it again for a few weeks. The only thing missing is all my friends and keeping in touch. I will have to pray about it.
It is still raining a little bit. Great weather for planting wildflower seeds. It continues to be the sweet light rain.
John and I spent most of day taking things off the walls in the kitchen, Packing some of it away and trying to keep things more simple. Some of my teapots had a layer of dust and needed a good cleaning. I desire to have a fresh clean look. I am not that into cooking so I don't even want some of those antique items. John made me a big wooden crate on wheels awhile back. I loaded that down with possible items to consider keeping. I have never taken anything to the Co Sale Shop but I am considering it. The painters are coming on Monday. I bought the paint yesterday. One wall is going to be a very pale yellow and the other walls and ceiling are going to be a very soft tan (just like I had." I will take some pictures before and after.
Joey has not been feeling good, so he is staying the night. He does that once and awhile. It is good for him to eat a good meal and be pampered a little Pray for him, please.
The word for today is: Treasured the verse that is referenced is : Luke 2:19.
Treasured means something of great value or worth, often collected and stored up ( from the Merriam-Webster online dictionary.) I think of it as something held close in value. I have several priceless items from my great grandmother that I have treasured over the years. Putting it together with the pasture, sheep or shepherd, I think it fits in nicely in many ways. Each little lamb was treasured by the shepherd. The pasture held many treasured shady spots, watering holes, and grazing areas. I believe David found many moments with God in the pasture and they were treasured times. David wrote some beautiful treasured Psalms in the pasture.
The Bible verse is: But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
Luke 2:19
As a mother, I understand things treasures in my heart. Sometimes, I wish my children could see what God sees in my heart. I ponder!
The promise for today is: You have an everlasting inheritance reserved in heaven for you.
1 Peter 1:3-4
I worked hard today and I am ready for bed. I pray you sleep well and find the perfect peace.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
Love is in the ink.
Mary Kay
