September 27, 2017

Good Morning,

The house is so quiet and a great time to spend with you and with my precious Lord and Savior.  I had a wonderful 5 hours of peaceful sleep.  I will probably go back to bed in a few hours.  Times like this remind me of the rewards of retirement.

The rain has stopped.  The animals of Texas are happy with a moist ground.  I haven't seen any wild hogs but several neighbors have had sightings.  Armadillos will have  easier digging.  The  deer wonder some at night but most bed down.  I noticed the grass has been prepared for the night time rest.  I can't wait to open the blinds at dawn to see the freshness of the morning.

Facebook is still hot about the NFL. People are striking back.  Sponsors are pulling ads and sponsorship. The left may be loud and bold but the right  has a history of how to fight back. God will win!  America is proud of her country, flag and anthem.  Don't mess with it. For every negative comment, a million people stand for what is right.  I am proud to be an American. I am proud of the flag, the anthem, the men and women that serve our country and the  President of the United States. I speak out for what is right.

Awe!  The pasture is fresh and wet with dew.  How amazing is the creation provided by our Great Shepherd?  He is in the pasture with me, always providing for my needs.

The word for today is:

Humble and the reference verse is 1 Peter 5:6.   Humble according to the Merriam-Webster is not being proud or haughty.  I have been both; proud and  haughty but my Lord forgave me.  He told me to walk away and He would take care of the reason.  Praise the Lord! according to the last part of
1 Peter 5:5, He opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.  What a power word.   The reference verse is:
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's might hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
                                         1 Peter 5:6

The promise for today is:  I will keep you from falling until you joyfully stand  blameless in My presence.  Jude 1:24

Tomorrow  is my daughter's birthday.  I sent her a package last week and the post office could not deliver it because her office was closed.  I text her to tell her it was at the post office.  She still hadn't gotten it yesterday.  Maybe she didn't want to call the post office or stop by to get it.  She needs prayers.  She is always to busy for her dad and I or anything to do with us.  The hurt of rejection is painful but my Lord is good. I don't understand the hate and lack of forgiveness.  I have been struggling with this issue since 2005.  God collects my tears and continues to love me.

The time is up for this for this post.  May the Lord provide you with  His greatest blessings.
Enjoy your time in the pasture.

Love is in the ink.
Love, Mary Kay
