Greetings!
This is my second attempt to write this blog. I don't know what happened but it just disappeared. I pray this post will be better. It has rained all day. The ground is happy to have its thirst quenched. It has made me think about the pasture and David. Did the sheep all cuddle up to the shepherd when it rained. Maybe only leaving for a little nibble on the freshly washed greens. That about describes my day today. I left my lap top on the table and spent lots of time with the Shepherd today. Lots of nibbling in between. Did you know that sheep lift their tail when they defecate and than use their tails to scatter their feces. They don't like to live alone but like a large group called flocks. The strings of a tennis racket are made of sheep guts. I wonder if David's hands were soft from caring for his sheep?
In the late 80's, I helped stomp wool during a shearing of sheep at a friends in Blanco, Texas. The burlap bag was stretched over a wire form and put close to a sturdy fence so I could crawl up on the fence like a ladder and then I could scoot my body into the sack and stomp the wool down. I was full of lanolin from that adventure and my boots were so soft. It was one of my old happy memories.
Yesterday, I ranted about the NFL thugs. It looks like a .liberal lead. The American flag and anthem is a treasure of our country. You mess with that and you have messed with those that love her. The Bible talks about the right and left and sheep and goats. Yesterday the left ran into the right. Today the news threads are still hot. Sponsors are pulling out of advertising with the NFL. They opened a can of worms and I am sure some of them would like to put those worms back in the can. Fans are angry, burning NFL clothing and memorabilia. The left doesn't like Trump because he is uncovering huge amounts of crime, fraud and thief. America needs to stand up for the values, freedom and liberty that Americans have fought for. The stadium may have lots of empty seats. I wonder if they will take a cut in wage?
The left has just lost thousands of voters this week.
The word for today is:: Perfected and the reference verse if 11 Corinthians 12:9 the Merriam-Webster defines the word as flawless, accurate, perfect.
The verse is::
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 11 Corinthians 12: 9
What a wonderful word for the day. My weakness is a calling to my God's power.
The promise for the day is from Psalm 23: 4.
When you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will be with you.
I look forward to sleeping sound tonight. Joey has tomorrow off so I will not have a early coffee partner. I went back to bed this morning and it was nice. I want to stop drinking all that coffee so early in the morning.
John is watching television, but I am ready for bed. It is time to snuggle up for the perfect rest.
I pray your day has been a blessing and tomorrow even better.
Love is in the ink.
Mary Kay
