The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing. Psalms 65:13
God rains/reigns on the pasture land for His flock. So many different kinds of grasses and sheep. It is easy to see how that applies to us today. After a little research, I found a pleasing reference to the "pastures clothed with flock" to mean as far as the eye could see the pasture was covered with sheep. Some grazing and some sleeping. I am in love with the Shepherd. He knows exactly what to do with his sheep and when to do it. I am so happy, I don't have to control that part of life. His plan is my plan.
My son came very early this morning. He sometimes does that. He went home from work at 4:30 pm and went right to bed. Then when he gets his recommended sleep he comes here. A few years ago, he struggled with sleep and my sleep clock was still set on working all night at the shelter. I told him to always come for coffee and even if I was asleep, I would get up for coffee. I practiced for a long time about providing a smile and a sweet "good morning." Now it is second nature. We sit on the porch and I share my thoughts about God and he shares his time at work. He has a sweet girlfriend and I love her like she was my own. The clock struck 3 am.
This seems like a perfect place to tell you about my foster daughter, Julie. I call her my bonus daughter. She has become a very important part of my life. She use to come early in the morning and spend most of the day with me. She moved to Colorado a few months ago and I miss her terrible. I want her to be happy and if that happiness is spelled Colorado, than I am happy for her. She is a writer and has proof read many of my stories. Not long ago she lost her 4 year old son. He had many issues with seizures and the last one took him to Jesus. My heart will forever, be heavy and sad for her. Her son, Halsey was adorable. I love my bonus daughter with all my heart. She could braid my hair like no other. Now it is crying for help. Julie approves of Joey's girlfriend. :) In many ways, Joey's girl stepped in when my bonus daughter stepped out. The Shepherd is always planning and finding amazing examples of love for me. Kelly is Joey's girlfriend and I will tell you more about her soon.
