Greetings,
The sun is shinning hot in central Texas. Another 4 weeks before it will start to cool off somewhat.
The mornings are so beautiful and the evenings help close a busy day. I love Texas and that big old sun. So many beautiful days!
I started the morning off picking up and folding clothes. My Bible reading was right what I needed this morning. I even wrote some of them down on index cards so I can look at them again and again. For a long time, I have asked that I love the way Jesus does. I have a long ways to go but I am starting to see some of the steps to take. I have put so much hope in other people and I just need to read the word. He is my first love and because of that my eyes are starting to take my focus off of others and put them back on HIM. I am working on loving myself too.
My husband, John is feeling so much better. He is back to working on some little projects for Christmas. It is so good to see him doing what he loves to do. He tires easily and we both take some long naps. We also go to bed earlier and after all these years of abusing our sleep patterns we are getting 8 hours of sleep every night. John takes lots of medicine to keep his stints working properly. He should be able to cut back on some of that at the one year mark. He has lost a lot of weight and is very schedule minded. He has type 2 diabetes and the heart doctor wants him to keep a record of his blood 3 days a week. It will not be long and he can walk again. The doctor told him to wait until it is cooler.
Tomorrow, I am going to get my creativity back. I have several projects going and it is time I put my hands back on them. I will take some photos when I finish. I have been making some purse size junk journals and some a little bigger.
The promise for the day is: I will comfort you just like a mother would. Isaiah 66:13
That verse brought lots of memories back to me. It would make a great writing prompt.
You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the people.
Psalm 77:14
What power!
I guess I will go and get ready to have coffee and put some finishing touches on supper. Thank you for stopping by.
Love is in the ink!
Mary Kay
