Day 23

Greetings!

Today is day 23 of the most fascinating journey of prayer.  I still can't believe how honored I am to be on this journey.  I am learning so many interesting things along the way.  God has big plans for His people and His love is beyond our thoughts.  I am so excited that you have come along with me.  It is my desire to reach out to many and share what I have learned.

Today has been a challenge and a faith walk for me.  My husband, John has health issues.  He has many issues with his skin and this last week, it became enormous.  He has a rash that has turned his arms into raw skin from itching.  The itching has tormented him constantly.  After no sleep last night, at 4  a.m., we went to the ER for some help.  After sitting in a very cold examining room, we were basically told we need to see a dermatologist.  The paper work and jumping through hoops since Obama Care is torture.  I dream about having him (Obama) pinned to the ground with my knee in his chest....stuffing his mouth with bacon.   John needed a referral from his Primary Care Doctor.  After several calls and some sharing with the Dermatologist's office girls, John was able to see the doctor.  He was given a shot and some medicine to take in the morning.  They also took a biopsy of his rash on his upper arm.  The photos don't show how red his arms are.  It is like they are burned.  Please pray for him to find peace and rest tonight.  John's health issues, tests my love and marriage vows.  Sometimes, his issues exhaust me. Today, I am exhausted.  I took a nap and plan to go to bed early.
I want to take care of him.  I want the best care for him.  Tomorrow, we will be married 53 years.  I am thankful that God has anointed our marriage with love and commitment to each other.

The title for today is:  NOT NOW
The Bible references is Acts 1 4-5   On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with[a] water, but in a few days you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.”
I have often waited for God to answer my prayers.  Mark Batterson shared that sometimes waiting results in something so much better.  I have experienced several things to relate to that.
Even to this day, I continue to wait for many things.  I am encouraged to know the results are often better because of the wait.  Remember it is not a "No!"
I desire to live life, God's way.  Not mine!
A Divine Delay is what, I have called it for years.

The promise for today is:  Commit all that you do to Me and your plans will be successful.
                                                                  Proverbs 16:3
That fit right in for today.

It is time to go.  I pray you are encouraged today to see God's Mighty hand in your life.  Thank you for stopping by and do come again.

Love is in the ink!
Love is in my heart!
Love, Mary Kay
