Spring arrived today and the sun stayed all day. What a joy it is to welcome Spring into the Texas Hill Country. I love that.
Today the title is: Prayer Fleece.
The takeaway is: When God give a vision. He always makes a provision.
Judges 6: 33-40 is the scripture that surrounds this day.
33 Now all the Midianites, Amalekites and other eastern peoples joined forces and crossed over the Jordan and camped in the Valley of Jezreel.34 Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet, summoning the Abiezrites to follow him. 35 He sent messengers throughout Manasseh, calling them to arms, and also into Asher,Zebulun and Naphtali, so that they too went up to meet them.
36 Gideon said to God, “If you will save Israel by my hand as you have promised— 37 look, I will place a wool fleece on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said.” 38 And that is what happened. Gideon rose early the next day; he squeezed the fleece and wrung out the dew—a bowlful of water.
39 Then Gideon said to God, “Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece, but this time make the fleece dry and let the ground be covered with dew.” 40 That night God did so. Only the fleece was dry; all the ground was covered with dew.
How many times I have asked for a sign? To many to count. I always want to be reassured or confirmation about somethings. I have a friend that is always asking God for a sign. I haven't done that for a long time. I am thinking about it. Perhaps this is a sign to do so. I am warned that are some cautions in doing this. I will ask for a sign of when my prayers of restoration will take place with my daughter and her family. It has been way to long and I get weary of waiting. God knows my heart and the reason it has taken so long. The large furry pillow, I kneel on when I pray reminds me of piece of fleece. I will ask Him tonight for a "prayer fleece moment." He will provide the details.
The prayer stories are so heart touching. I love reading and studying about prayer. My life is changing as I learn so many new things.
Today the Promise is: "Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! there is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” Psalms 34:9-10, NKJV.
He never breaks His promises. They make my heart happy.
It has been a long day and it is time to get ready for bed. Church in the morning. :)
Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate comments so email me or try to the comment place. Do you need prayer? I am here to send one to the throne room on your behalf.
Remember that tomorrow the Prayer Challenge takes a break and so will I. I will see my on Monday. Be blessed and seek Him. He waits for you.
Love is in the ink!
Love Is in my heart!
