Day 17 and 18

I am back!

Sorry, it has taken me so long to get back.  John and Joey have been keeping me busy.  I had a days worth of work getting John back in the VA system.  Red tape tangled mess, but all is well now.  Joey was here yesterday cleaning out his truck.  Lots of back and forth stuff.  Anyhow that is my excuse and I am standing by it.  ;)

Day 17 and 18 have been amazing and I am going to try to put it together and share it with you. The days are going fast in this 40 Day Prayer Challenge.  I will never pray the same again.  I have learned to be direct, bold and expecting answers.  Kneeling beside the bed has been very powerful.  My time with God has become more precious for sure.
Day 17 was titled:  Do Not Delay
The takeaway was:  God is never early. God is never late.  God is always right on time.
If you want God to do something new, you have to do something new and not the same old same old.  I want my prayers to be powerful and not the same words or whine.  Writing has helped me to see that new is good.
Once, I heard someone say that when God doesn't answer your prayers right away, it is called a Divine Delay.  I continue to circle my family and love ones in prayer.
Day 18 is titled Keep Circling
The key takeaway is:  If you don't get out of the boat, you'll never walk on the water.
2 Chronicles 20: 15-17 was the scripture used to reinforce the title.  We must listen to God and keep praying and trusting Him.  He encourages us to stay strong and keep asking, seeking and believing.
Control has been a huge issue for me to overcome.  I have always had a job that left me in control, than I became a mother and wife and going to school all took lots of control.  It left little room for letting God in to my life.  How wrong I was.  I never asked for God to control my life.  I surrender that several times a day now.  How freeing it is.  I have messed up many areas of my life and those around me.  Now I wait for God to give me another chance.

I went to the library today and this is what I saw.  This is a true sign that Spring has arrived in Texas.

This is the promise for today:  I have chosen the weak things of this world to confound the strong.
                                            I Corinthians 1:27

Life is sometimes tough but His promises are always true and never broken.  We can count on His word.

The porch has already welcomed several of my neighbor friends.  It was a delight to sit and chat in the sunshine.  We share respect, love and understanding with each other.  I am blessed.

Today, I bow before my Lord and share with Him my love for you all that read my blog.  I would love for you all to come and have tea with me on the porch.  Nothing is to big for my Lord,  you are always welcome. He loves us and cares about us.  Praying for John to catch a healing for his skin issues and strength to return.  I pray that all your needs are being meet and you are happy and well.

Love is in my ink.
Love is in my heart.

Love, Mary Kay
