Spring came visiting today. I begged it to stay. I can't wait to put my sweaters away and bring out the spring/summer stuff. Next Sunday, we turn the clocks ahead. Yippie! Another sign of Spring. I ran around today in this little bitty town about 12 miles from here. It is where we pay the electric bill and water bill. I paid mine last week, but my son needed me to take his in. That little town has several resale shops. I went to one to find some cushions for the chairs on the porch and I did. I am happy about that.
Today, the lesson is titled Contend for Me. It is based on Psalm 35: 1, 23. This is what that scripture says: Contend, Lord, with those who contend with me;
fight against those who fight against me. 23. Awake, and rise to my defense!
Contend for me, my God and Lord.
I love how the Lord shows me a verse that I need. I have some battles raging within me. God always provides what I need at the right time. Some people are a no-win situation and that is when we need to leave it in God's hands. I shared with someone a week or so ago about a man that took advantage of us over a financial situation. I hadn't thought about that for years, and than I find out he is in big trouble with the law. We might not see justice right away, but they will eventually. God doesn't forget!
Tonight, I called my daughter. She never calls me, but someone has to be the first. Mark Batterson wrote that we are only two feet from revival. It happens when we drop to our knees. I love dropping to my knees now. I know it pleases God and it is very powerful for me. Our conversation was short but it was a conversation.
I wish you could all come and sit on the porch with me. It is so beautiful here in the Hill Country of Texas. Soon the wildflowers will paint the road sides with amazing colors.
The promise for today is: My throne will stand forever and justice will reign in My kingdom.
Psalm 45:6
It feels so good to know God stands for justice.
May you find the love and peace He has for you. Maybe tomorrow, I can take some photos of our view from the porch.
Love is in the ink!
Love, Mary Kay
