The sun shined more today. When I got up this morning, I knew it was going to be a great day. It has been. Poor John had a list of things for me to do for him today and I announced that I would be doing my paper crafts most of the day. I needed some down time.
The key takeaway is: God can accomplish more in one day than you can accomplish in a lifetime.
Time belongs to God! I am asked to wait. Waiting is very hard for me. It is a faith stretcher for sure.
The scripture verse was 2 Peter 3: 8-9 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the
Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, As some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Does this mean that the next time, I am waiting, I should search my heart and seek repentance for my sins? Maybe! Maybe, I should try it.
My prayers are circled for my children, grandchildren and John mainly. I continue to wait for them to embrace the Lord will the spirit of a rival. I want that for me too. I have spent a lot of time waiting in my life. I will continue to wait, but this time searching my soul for unspoken repentance. I have learned something new today.
My hands found a notebook with some journal entries from 2001. I had a little list of gifts God had given me. This is what is said:
- Love for art
- Love for God's word
- Love for a study of God's word
- Love for entertaining
- Love for cooking
- Love for glorifying You, Father
At that time, I was wanting a Tea Room. That never happened and I can see now why. I needed my family to help me and they were not interested. It wasn't their dream. I needed encouragement and they were not able to give that to me. Life is so amazing and perfectly planned by the Father.
On one page, I used the word "time" many times.
The promise today is: My promise of life is for you and your family. Act 2:39
I serve a powerful God and He is BIG! If you have not asked HIM into your life, please do. You will have a friend for life and you will never be the same. I pray that all your dreams come with encouragement and prayer. When you wait, pray and God will answer you. Please come again. I love writing in the blog and sharing with you my day and thoughts. Thank you for stopping by.
Love is in the ink!
Love is in my heart.
Love, Mary Kay
