His Benefits

Greetings!

Is your kitchen full of food?  Will you be cooking for others?   I have a huge ham that is to big for the slow cooker.  I shaved some of the fat off and I am hoping it will shrink down, so I can put the cover on and it can cook on low all night.  Our table will be one of plenty.

The grocery store was buzzing this morning.  John made the grocery list and I couldn't find it when I got in the store.  I did bring home everything on that lost list and some extras.  :)  Everyone was friendly and several people wished me and other's a Happy Thanksgiving.  It seems like we spend more money at the grocery store than we need too.  We are always out of something.  John has a hearty appetite and I have a high ice cream and bread diet.  Left overs will be plentiful after tomorrow.

1.  Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. 2. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits  Psalm 103: 1-2

I can memorize this!  When I first became a Christian, I heard a message about memorizing the word.  Just in case, I was some place without my Bible, I could always remember the ones in my heart.  These two verses express thanksgiving and praise to my Lord.  He has provided benefits and blessings in my life.  I will never forget His goodness.  Why don't you join me as I attempt to put Psalm 103 in my heart forever.

The Promise for today is:  My children will overcome the world through their faith.  1 John 5:4

This post is short and I don't know if I will post tomorrow or not. I am tired tonight!  I have some great reading material and that will be my last event of the day.  John is restless so I will have to wait and see how quiet it gets in here.  Since his heart attack he seems to do everything louder and than he laughs about it.

Sending my love to all that follow my blog.  May the Lord bless you and fill your lives with His benefits and favor.  May your Thanksgiving be all you hoped for and more.

Love is in the ink.
