Halsey left without a hug or a good bye.

Shalom,

Continuing on with "I never said, good-bye."

Life is full of twists and turns.  Some are very unexpected.  Halsey was only 4 years old and although he had seizures before, he always came out of them and went about being a little boy full of love.  This time he didn't snap out of.  He listen to the call of Jesus and left us all behind.  His mother is my foster daughter.  I call her my bonus daughter.  Her name is Julie,  The same name as my estranged birth daughter. My bonus daughter has reconnect with me for the last 5 years.  She lived in San Antonio and would come and visit me.  Then she moved north of Austin.  She would visit me early in the morning and we would hug, share, drink coffee and encourage each other.  She likes to proof read my ink.  She seldom brought the kids with her, but when she did, I was able to love on them.  After, Halsey went to be with Jesus, they moved to Colorado.  Things have been very difficult for her and her family since that move.  Halsey has a direct line to Jesus so the letter, I am about to write might have healing for my sweet Julie.  Pray for Halsey's parents.  They need healing and comfort.

Dear Sweet Little Halsey,

Have you been running in the fields of joy today with Jesus?  Have you jumped from cloud to cloud or played baseball with the stars?  I can only imagine.
You mom and dad are struggling to live life without you.  They hurt and grieve for you.  If you are allowed to send them a little sign that you are okay, could you? Maybe Jesus could send one of His angels to speak to them.
John was sick the day of your memorial service.  I thought about you and those you left behind all day.  About a week after you left us, your mom came and cried and cried.  She hurt so much and still does.  I love your mom!  She has struggled with many issues most of her life.  I pray she gets to know Jesus.  She needs a forever friend.  Jesus wants to be her forever friend.
My love for you is strong and you will forever be in my heart.
Love is in my ink.  I will visit with you again.

Love, Mary Kay

The word for today is Brokenhearted.  According to Merriam-Webster it means overcome by grief or despair.  The verse is Psalm 34:18  The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

The promise for today is:  I will fulfill My purpose for your life because My mercy endures forever.
                                                     Psalm  138: 8

Love is in the  ink.
Love, Mary Kay
