August 28, 2017

Good Morning,

TODAYS FORCAST
GOD REIGNS
AND THE SON SHINES

So appropriate for a time like this.  I continue to pray for the people of Houston.  Unbelievable that they didn't leave and find higher ground.  Just think of the adventure that would of been.  So many hard headed people.  I will find a little area, I can help in.  I will never forget the Wimberley flood.
Having important papers and an emergency plan together has been my goal for the last year or so.  I am almost there.

Happiness and blessings filled my heart this morning.  I slept almost 8 hours straight.  I have been trying to break the cycle of restless sleep and with God's help, I think this is a break through.  I have been sleeping in the spare bedroom because John has had some restless nights since his heart attack.  He talks and groans in his sleep.  I think it was all the drugs he has taken.  I am light sleeper and answered every call he had.  Now to pray for him to find the rest he needs.

It is 5 am and still dark outside.  I don't know if it is raining.  It doesn't sound like it.  It would be a great day to bake some cookies. I need a trip to the grocery store in New Braunfels or San Marcos.  I like to have a whole lot of time to shop.  I go up and down every isle and carry a list.  The hardest part of grocery shopping is bring it all home.  John usually puts it away and I make the endless trips to the trunk of the car.  I plan to get more light weight bags and remind the packers to pack light

Today, I will be surrounded with my craft items.  Organizing and preparing for some new ideas is my goal.

Oh, my about 6 am, I was delivered a huge gift of hope.  God is always on time and never late.  I have always loved the book of Ezekiel and this morning, I was delivered a blessing from it. It says:

I will search for the lost and bring back the strays.  I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak.     Ezekiel 34:16

What a promise and what a gift for one like me.  Today is going to be a great day.

The promise for today is:
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.  Psalm 23:5

My cup does overflow.  I am so thankful for all of God's blessings.

My ink flows with love,
Mary Kay
