Greetings!
My cup overflows and now I am drinking from the saucer. If you are wondering what I am doing. :) I have some new Christmas tea and thinking about today's message from Pastor Dan at church this morning. He must meet with Jesus to find out what message would be best for me. I come away with a cup that is overflowing. Today the message was from Genesis 1. The 27th verse jumped into my soul and here I am knowing my reflection is that of Christ and especially when I am going about His work. The book, I am writing is about finding myself. I looked in the water and I saw Him. Can't wait to share it with you.
When John and I worked at the Children's Home, I introduced the girls in care to tea. We took care of 8 girls at a time and some came from the streets of Dallas and Fort Worth. You can only imagine the first time we had tea with a new girl. I use to fix a tea tray at night with a little snack before bedtime. I took pride in fixing that tray and they loved it. Then over time, I let them fix the tray and serve. I miss those wonderful moments with tea and the girls. Sometimes, we would read from the Bible or a devotional book. I remember one little girls saying, "I will never have tea after, I leave here." I asked, "Why!" She didn't have any pretty cups. When she was reunited with family, I sent her with tea and several pretty cups to have tea. I do know that several of the girls still drink tea and remember the tea tray, snacks and the precious moments. Borrowing from the message today, I will send this message to my readers. God made us from His holy blood line. We are royal. It is hard to convince a pauper to be royal. Our Father is a King! Not just a King but the King of all. Enjoy the blood line and walk with that royal authority.
Several of my friends are ill. The virus is traveling around and attacks where it can. I rebuke that nasty stuff and take authority over it. It has no place in anyone. May it be cast into the herd of hogs and sent to the pit of hell. I had it and it is nasty stuff. Now I walk in victory. I made some taco soup and shared it with a neighbor that is ill.
I haven't spent anytime memorizing today, so I am going to stay on the four verses until I have them down and add more this week.
Pleased, to share the Promise of the day with you.
I will give you beauty to replace your ashes. Isaiah 61: 3
It is time to give it to God and go to sleep. Remember the sick and those in need and lean not on your own understanding.
Love is in the ink.
Mary Kay
